This past weekend, we had cause to celebrate! My two big kiddos will be kicking off a new school year next Monday (2nd grade for Aussie, and the big K for Zain). It's so hard to believe and for the life of me, I don't know how we got here. Although, regardless of my wistfulness for their eternal youth, I find myself here at the beginning of a new term and it MUST be celebrated, for it IS a big deal.
We woke up early, donned our town clothes and left the farm headed west for the big city. It was such a winsome day- filled with delicious food, strolling hand in hand thru farmers markets, faces dusted with bright glitter. Little feet stomping thru splashpads, weaving their way through underground tunnels, faces scrunched with happiness and tummies filled with ice cream.
now. . . we are ready!!
