SECRET PLAN FOR IRAQ; UKRAINE; LOPEZ; RODGER.

A cunning plan to weaken Russia and Iran, by luring them into conflicts.

On 14 June 2014, it was reported that the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has rejected claims that Tehran has dispatched its forces to Iraq.

Earlier, it had been reported that, with NATO' ISIS ATTACKING THE IRAQ GOVERNMENT, Iran had intervened in the conflict.

"Two Iranian Guards' units, dispatched from Iran's western border provinces on 11 June 2014, have been tasked with protecting Baghdad and the holy Shiite cities of Karbala and Najaf, security sources said."

The Iraq leader Nouri al-Maliki is a Shia Moslem; Iran is Shia Moslem.

The American backed ISIS, which is trying to capture Baghdad, is Sunni Moslem.

The CIA's idea behind the original Iran Iraq war (1980-88) was to weaken both Iran and Iraq.

When the USA first promoted the Islamists in Afghanistan, starting around 1979, the idea was to drag in the Russians and weaken their empire.

The current US idea seems to be to drag Iran into a conflict in Iraq.

The US idea will be to thus weaken Iran.

And to drag Russia into a conflict in Ukraine.

The CIA's Intervention.

A Wave of Patriotism: How Un-British!

When I moved to the Netherlands I was struck by the flag flying that goes on here. Many households have a flag pole attached to their house and at least once a year on Queen's Day a Dutch flag flaps proudly from the pole. Remembrance Day and Liberation Day are also marked by residents with flags outside their home.

I was struck by it because I didn't grow up with a lot of flag waving in Britain. There was some British flag flying when Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. There was a wave of patriotism in 1977 when the Queen celebrated her silver jubilee. But other than that I cannot remember any real notable occasions when British flags could be seen in the streets. Until this year.

Having just come back from nearly three weeks in England I was amazed to see the scale of British flag flying going on: across pub fronts, in shop windows, across village greens and in house windows. A combination of the Queen's jubilee and Britain hosting the Olympics seems to have caused an outpouring of British sentiment and patriotism.

Here are some of the photos I captured of the 'British being un-British'.

"Well I Never Knew That": Rafael van der Vaart - From Humble Beginnings

(c) Amanda van Mulligen
In September last year, Dutch footballer Rafael van der Vaart made a move to Premiership football in England from Real Madrid after losing a regular place in the Spanish side. The move to Tottenham Hotspur was met with excitement from the English press.

A few weeks ago I watched an interview with the Dutchman on Football Focus on a Saturday on the BBC. He talked about his youth growing up living in a caravan in Heemskerk. And that is where he learned to play football, using empty beer bottles as goal posts. He says now that he realises that his lifestyle growing up was different but he covets it all the same. He was talent spotted at the age of 10 and subsequently joined the Ajax Academy. The rest, as they say is history.

This interesting fact about this international football star had passed me by. Now a quick look on the internet and the English press was full of it at the time of his transfer.

What is also interesting is the fact that his mother is Spanish. She moved to Holland when she was 6 so by rights he could have also chosen to play for the Spanish national team. Luckily for Holland he chose to play for his birth country.

He is reminded of his humble beginning every time he heads 'home' as he passes the caravan where the van der Vaart family used to live on the way to his parents' house - the one he bought for them when he made a name for himself in the footballing world.

Having cost Spurs £8,000,000 and played in a World Cup Final last year, he certainly has come a long way from the life he started in a caravan north of the Dutch capital city. No wonder his mantra is 'believe'.
